Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Howling Media ("Howling Media", "we", "us"), a brand of HOWLING CO., collects, uses, and protects information across our website, our agency services, and our software product RouteReply. By using our website or services you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Information you give us. When you contact us or request a quote, we collect details such as your name, business name, email, phone number, and anything you include in your message.
  • Website usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site (e.g., pages viewed, approximate location, device type). This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Client service data. When you engage us for marketing services, we collect the information needed to deliver those services (e.g., access to advertising or website accounts you grant us).
  • RouteReply data. When a business connects its Google account to RouteReply, we access Local Services Ads lead and conversation data, as described below.

2. RouteReply and Google user data

RouteReply is a limited Local Services Ads (LSA) lead-response and notification tool. When a business connects its Google account through Google's OAuth consent screen, RouteReply accesses, through the Google Ads API, only the data required to provide its features:

  • recent Local Services Ads leads and lead conversations for the connected account (read), and
  • the ability to send a reply to a lead on the business's behalf.

We use this data solely to deliver RouteReply's lead-response and notification features to the business that connected the account. The connecting business can revoke RouteReply's access at any time, from within the app or from their Google account permissions.

Limited Use disclosure

RouteReply's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Specifically, data obtained from Google APIs is:

  • used only to provide and improve the user-facing features of RouteReply that are prominent in the app's interface;
  • not transferred to others except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition;
  • not used for serving advertising; and
  • not used by humans to read the data unless we have the user's consent, it is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or our use is limited to aggregated and anonymized data for internal operations.

3. How we use information

  • To respond to inquiries and provide audits, quotes, or proposals;
  • To deliver and improve our agency services and the RouteReply product;
  • To communicate with you about your project or account;
  • To understand and improve our website; and
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate (for example, hosting, analytics, email, and SMS delivery), and only as needed for them to perform their work, or where required by law.

5. Data retention and security

We keep information only as long as necessary to provide our services and meet legal obligations. RouteReply access tokens and connection data are stored securely and access is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

6. Your choices

  • You can ask us what information we hold about you, or request its deletion, by emailing us.
  • RouteReply users can disconnect and revoke Google access at any time.
  • You can disable cookies in your browser; some features may not work as well.
